NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang accepts invitation to join Tsinghua SEM Advisory Board, chaired by Apple CEO Tim Cook

According to the Financial Times, citing two people familiar with the matter, Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, has accepted an invitation to join the Advisory Board of Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management. The board currently comprises 65 members; Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, serves as chairman. Other members include Elon Musk, Michael Dell, Satya Nadella (CEO of Microsoft), Mark Zuckerberg (CEO of Meta), Jamie Dimon (CEO of JPMorgan Chase), Larry Fink (CEO of BlackRock), Jane Fraser (CEO of Citigroup), and other leading figures from the tech and finance sectors. As of publication, NVIDIA had not responded to requests for comment.

The Financial Times noted that Huang recently accompanied U.S. President Donald Trump on a visit to China. His appointment to the advisory board is seen as a move to maintain ties with Chinese academia and business circles amid escalating Sino-U.S. tech tensions. NVIDIA’s operations in China have long faced challenges due to U.S. export restrictions; this move may help strengthen Huang’s network there, though it could also attract additional scrutiny from Washington.
