Jensen Huang appears at Computex, says Marvell will become the next trillion-dollar chip company, stock surges 22%

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang appeared at Computex 2026 in Taipei on June 2, attending Marvell Technology CEO Matt Murphy’s keynote speech and sharing the stage for about 10 minutes. According to CNBC, Huang declared on the spot that Marvell will become “the next trillion-dollar company,” citing that AI computing tasks have been split and distributed across massive clusters, making high-speed interconnect technology in data centers indispensable — “that’s why Marvell is so important.” The news sent Marvell (MRVL) shares surging more than 22% in early Tuesday trading, hitting an all-time high; NVIDIA had announced a $2 billion strategic investment in Marvell back in March.

Beyond interconnect technology, Huang also commented on the industry trend of transitioning from copper cables to silicon photonics, advocating for deploying fiber optics only where technically necessary and continuing to use copper cables elsewhere to control costs. Marvell’s first-quarter revenue set a record at $2.418 billion, up 28% year-over-year; however, its current market cap is around $181 billion, still a considerable distance from the trillion-dollar target Huang predicted.
