Hello launches the world’s first HarmonyOS-compatible bike-sharing service, featuring a HiSilicon chip that enables NFC unlocking

On May 18, HelloBike showcased its new A70 Cloud Bike at the High-Quality Development Promotion Conference for Domestic Operating Systems and Chips organized by the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology. Officially described as the world’s first shared bike equipped with HiSilicon’s ‘Diting’ chip and a lightweight HarmonyOS system, it is also the first product in the industry to receive HarmonyOS compatibility certification (XTS). It has been awarded a HarmonyOS ecosystem compatibility certificate by the OpenAtom Foundation. Technologically, the A70 Cloud Bike integrates NearLink technology and NFC-based unlocking; the unlock response time is approximately 200 milliseconds. It features dual-mode GPS and BeiDou positioning alongside 4G Cat1 connectivity, enabling remote diagnostics, abnormal activity alerts, and OTA firmware updates — meaning operators can implement feature enhancements without needing to visit the site physically. In terms of technological independence, the Diting chip utilizes a self-owned licensing model, eliminating risks related to external restrictions; meanwhile, HarmonyOS ensures smoother coordination among various components, thereby reducing malfunction rates. HelloBike stated that its participation aimed to highlight achievements in end-to-end independent innovation involving ‘chips + systems + real-world applications,’ further driving intelligent upgrades within the shared mobility sector.’
