Didi renames 'Women-Friendly Initiative' to 'Her Plan' with unchanged features, now available in most cities across China

Didi Chuxing announced on May 27 that it will rename its women’s mobility feature “Women-Friendly Initiative” to “Her Plan”, citing that the original name was too long and made it difficult for users to explain when sharing or recommending it. After the name change, the feature’s entry point, usage method, and dispatching rules remain unchanged: female passengers who have verified their real name can set a “Prefer Female Driver” preference (all day / night only / this trip only), giving priority to dispatching a female driver for the first 30 seconds, and automatically expanding to all drivers if the time expires. Users who have already enabled the “Women-Friendly” preference will continue to receive the service without any action required. Didi also disclosed operational data: female passenger satisfaction is 21% higher than the platform average, 68% of users continue to use the feature, and 87% of female drivers who are aware of the feature are willing to join. The top three usage scenarios are late-night trips, trips to distant suburbs, and trips with children. The feature, originally launched as “Optional Female Driver,” has gone through public review and voting, nearly two years of trial operation, and open-day reviews, gradually iterating to its current form.
