Pony.ai Q1 2026 revenue up 145% to $34.3M, raises full-year Robotaxi targets; launches first commercial service in Europe

Pony.ai reported Q1 2026 total revenue of $34.3 million (RMB 236.3 million), up 145.0% year-over-year, with its Robotaxi segment leading growth at 395.4% year-over-year and fare-charging revenues rising 456.5%. EPS came in at -$0.12, just below the consensus forecast of -$0.11. The company’s Robotaxi fleet has surpassed 1,700 units, and average weekly paid orders in May 2026 were up 119% compared to January, with registered users in China more than tripling year-over-year. On the back of the results, Pony.ai raised its full-year 2026 Robotaxi revenue target from 3 times to over 3.5 times its 2025 level, and lifted its year-end fleet size target from 3,000 to over 3,500 units across more than 20 cities worldwide. PONY shares surged about 20% in premarket trading following the announcement.

On the operational front, the company expanded its Robotaxi coverage into Guangzhou’s core urban districts — including Haizhu District and the Canton Tower area — and launched what it describes as the first commercial Robotaxi service in Europe, in Croatia. Driverless deployments are also being initiated in Dubai, bringing its total presence to 9 countries with public service running in 4 overseas markets: Croatia, Qatar, Singapore, and South Korea. The company is targeting a total bill-of-materials cost below RMB 230,000 per Gen-7 vehicle for the domestic market by mid-2027. In adjacent segments, Autonomous Domain Controller deliveries grew more than five times year-over-year, and its Gen-4 Robotruck is on track for early-production vehicles in the second half of 2026.
