Chinese creators use Seedance2 to make an Anthropic-themed short film; it garnered nearly 1 million views in just 24 hours

Chinese creator CuiMao released a roughly 4-minute AI-generated narrative short film on May 24. The fictional story depicts Anthropic and its CEO Dario Amodei; the entire video was produced using ByteDance’s video generation model Seedance2. There’s also an Easter egg at the end paying homage to Claude’s signature flower logo. Within 24 hours, the post garnered nearly 980,000 views, 716 comments, and over 1,200 saves — making it one of the most widely shared AI-related creations that day.

Investor Justine Moore, upon reposting it, remarked, “We’ve entered an era where 4-minute AI movies are worth watching,” noting that Hollywood wouldn’t make such content nor manage to release anything on this topic while it’s still trending. She also pointed out a limitation in production: Dario’s likeness occasionally shifts into a generic ‘handsome guy face,’ though she deemed this flaw insignificant. Overall, about 70% of comments were positive, while 30% criticized the content as ‘cringey’ or accused Anthropic of hypocrisy.
