Huawei announces Wi-Fi 7 patent licensing rate: $0.50 per device, following FRAND principles

Huawei officially announced on June 18 its royalty rate for Wi-Fi 7 standard essential patents, priced at $0.50 per device. Authorization can be obtained through bilateral licensing agreements or patent pools, both under the principle of Fair, Reasonable, and Non-Discriminatory (FRAND) terms. On the same day, Huawei disclosed that, as of the end of 2024, over 1.2 billion consumer electronic devices had received Huawei patent licenses in the Wi-Fi field.
